Where is Akai located in Brussels?
Akai is on the 30th floor of the Cardo Hotel, Avenue du Boulevard 14, 1210 Brussels. From street level, enter the Cardo Hotel and take the elevator directly to the 30th floor. The skyline appears the moment the doors open.
Where can I park when visiting Akai Brussels?
Two 24/7 parking facilities are available nearby.
Indigo Parking Manhattan – Rue des Croisades 19, 1210 Brussels The recommended option. Located in the same building as the Cardo Hotel. Exit at ground level, follow the gallery signs to the hotel entrance (on your left after approximately 20 metres), then take the elevator to the 30th floor.
Interparking Rogier – Place Charles Rogier, 1210 Brussels A large underground car park directly beneath Place Rogier. Exit on Avenue du Boulevard, enter Cardo Hotel Autograph Collection at number 14, then take the elevator to the 30th floor.
Can I bring my own birthday cake?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own cake for a birthday or special occasion. We kindly ask that you let us know in advance when making your reservation so we can prepare accordingly and make the moment as seamless as possible. A cake-cutting fee of €9 per person applies.
What are Akai's opening hours?
Akai is open daily from 6 PM.
- 6 PM – 11 PM: full dinner service
- The kitchen is open everyday until 11 PM except on Thursday, Friday and Saturday until midnight and the sushis until 11.30 PM.
- 8 PM onwards (Thursday): The DJ starts his sessions with music building progressively.
- 9:00 PM onwards (Friday & Saturday): The DJ starts his sessions with music building progressively.
- Akai closes at 12.30 AM from Sunday to Wednesday, at 1 AM on Thursday and at 2 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
What is the dress code at Akai?
Smart casual to upscale attire. Akai sits 30 floors above Brussels — the setting is part of the experience, and the atmosphere reflects that. We ask guests to dress in keeping with the sophistication of the venue: think elegant evening wear, refined casualness, or anything that feels intentional.
Not permitted: hoodies, men's sandals, sportswear.
When in doubt, overdress. You'll feel right at home.
Reservations
Can I come to Akai just for cocktails, without a dinner reservation?
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome daily from 6 PM for cocktails and drinks. Friday & Saturday evenings, dinner reservations take priority until midnight. After midnight, the venue opens as a lounge for everyone.
The dress code applies regardless of whether you're joining us for dinner or drinks only. Smart casual to upscale attire — no hoodies, men's sandals, or sportswear. The rooftop sets the tone; we ask guests to match it.
How do I make a reservation at Akai Brussels?

A credit card guarantee is required for all reservations. No charges apply unless there is a no-show or late cancellation.
The Menu
Do you have halal dishes?
Yes. Our chicken is halal. The rest of our meat selection is not, but our menu offers a wide range of seafood and sushi options to choose from.
Does Akai have vegetarian and vegan options?
Yes. Plant-based and vegetarian guests are well catered for at Akai. The menu includes Agedashi Tofu, charcoal-grilled vegetables, miso-glazed aubergine, sunomono salad and vegetarian maki rolls — all prepared with the same precision and attention to detail as every other plate we serve. Beyond the dedicated options, many of our dishes can be adapted to suit dietary preferences. Don't hesitate to let your server know when you arrive and we'll guide you through the menu.

Does Akai host group dinners and private events in Brussels?
