Akai is a modern, high-quality restaurant in Brussels known for its elegant take on Japanese and fusion cuisine. We are a close-knit, passionate team committed to culinary excellence, respect for ingredients, and a calm, focused kitchen culture.

As we grow, we’re looking for a Chef de Partie (CDP) who is ready to take the next step in their career — with a clear path toward becoming Sous Chef in the near future.

Votre profil

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a professional kitchen as CDP or Demi CDP
  • Technical skills in prep, mise en place, and plating with attention to detail
  • Ability to follow recipes, contribute to daily organization, and maintain consistency
  • Strong work ethic, clean working habits, and respect for kitchen hierarchy
  • Fluent in French (English is a plus)
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong human values

Bonus if You Have

  • Experience with Japanese, refined Asian and/or Mediterranean cuisine 
  • Understanding of HACCP or Belgian food safety standards
  • Leadership potential or past mentoring experience
